Up to 95% of human rabies deaths occur in Africa and Asia due to dog rabies being poorly controlled. Rabies mostly occurs in countries with inadequate public healthcare resources as well as limited access to preventative treatments such as vaccines. For this project we were tasked to pick a disease and raise awareness for it, so I chose the rabies virus in Africa.
